Shenwang Pioneer Tech Corporation Beijing is a specialized company who researches and manufactures a series of new monitoring and simulations technologies to assist blast furnace operation. The company cooperates with University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) to achieve some patents and develop several new technologies. Tho's technologies are applied to more than 300 furnaces such as Baosteel, CSC in Taiwan, US Steel, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works in Russia and Kardmir Co, in Turkey.

This state-of-the-art system consists of an Infrared video camera and a computer image analysis system. The camera is installed inside the top of the blast furnace. The video images are instantly displayed on the screen in the control room. The operators can visually monitor the burden surface condition, the gas distribution, the chute or large bell movement and directly detect the furnace irregularities, such as channeling, hanging and slipping.

Using the IR Camera and Image Processing system, BF operators can obtain the infrared image of the whole burden surface and transfer it into temperature distribution diagram. Temperature distribution curves at any position on any diameter of the burden surface can be displayed.
